Daniel K. Winton is an experienced transactional real estate attorney having focused on real estate matters for more than 35 years. Dan has represented clients in a wide variety of real estate matters, including acquisitions and dispositions, leasing of real property — including ground, build-to-suit, office, retail and industrial leases — and development of industrial and office properties. He has represented many of his clients for a number of years, and they continue to use Dan given his focus on achieving their objectives, his responsiveness and his focus on closing the deal. Satisfied clients have referred new clients to Dan, as have commercial brokers who have been involved in transactions with him. His clients range from individual investors to regional developers and institutional tenants.

Although real estate transactions have grown more complex and have involved higher dollar amounts, Dan has been able to keep his fees well below that which large institutional law firms charge for comparable work. As a solo practitioner, Dan does not pass off work to other attorneys as is customary with larger firms.

Dan has been a sole practitioner since 2002, and before that he was a real estate partner at Snell & Wilmer, at Paone, Callahan, McHolm and Winton and at Rutan & Tucker. Dan was selected for inclusion in Super Lawyers for Southern California Real Estate for 2015. He is also AV Pre-eminent peer review rated,* the highest legal rating awarded by Martindale-Hubbell.

As a recognized community and industry leader, Dan has served as board chair and board director for the California Business Properties Association and as a board director for NAIOP-SoCal. He has also served as a board director of the Orange County Business Council and was chair of its regulatory committee.
